MONICA BOLLENBAUGH:

Monica Bollenbaugh is an accomplished music educator offering private instruction in piano, voice, beginning ukulele, songwriting, and music theory. With a BA in Music Education from Grand View University and over a decade of teaching experience since 2014, Monica brings both expertise and heart to her lessons. A firm believer that music is for everyone, Monica creates a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to each student’s unique goals, learning style, and skill level. She has taught students of all ages from 4-74, and specializes in helping individuals discover and grow their musical voice—whether they’re preparing for performances, writing original songs, or simply learning for personal joy. Monica studied under Susie Miget at Creative Music Studio (2021-2024) and continues to perform as a vocalist with Sing DMC, an a cappella women’s trio, and The Finesse, an international soul/pop band. Her involvement as educator, artist and performer brings real-world insight and inspiration to her teaching.

DOROTHY HECHT:

Dorothy studied music at Simpson College, and has studied private piano and organ for over 14 years. She currently plays and sings with the local band Dorothy Hecht and the Rubber Tramps. Dorothy loves to teach children and adults all styles of music, from classical to rock.

DALLAS MURPHY:

Dallas graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Vocal Music and a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies. She was a 4-year member of the nationally recognized Cantamus Women’s Choir at ISU while taking voice lessons with Mary Creswell and Simon Estes. In addition to singing, Dallas has been playing piano, guitar, and many other instruments for a number of years. She has a passion for spreading the joy of music and the importance of musical education with her students. Along with the knowledge of a specific instrument, students will learn technique, theory, and musicality, as this will help to mold them into well-rounded musicians.
