ANDRIA JAMES:

Andria received her BA in Vocal Performance from Augustana College in Rock Island. She is originally from Illinois and has studied voice and piano since childhood. She recently served as Adjunct Professor of Music at Naugatuck College in Connecticut where she taught piano and voice. Andrea is very involved in church music and has performed in many operas during her career.

 
GLENDA KERNAN:

Glenda has been a long-time member of IMTA and MTNA. She has studied music at Iowa State University and Drake University in theory, ear training, and piano pedagogy. Teaching privately for 27 years and working with many ages and interests makes sharing music a special joy for both her and her students.

 
KAARIN FASSE:

Kaarin graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with her Bachelors of Music Education degree. She has been a private piano teacher through the Tower School of Music at Wartburg since 2000. She specializes in Piano and Flute.

 
JEANNE L GREEN:

Mrs. Green has over 35 years of experience teaching private piano, as well as several years teaching in the Des Moines Public School System. She holds a degree in music from the University of Northern Iowa. Mrs. Green focuses on basic theory and technic, in many styles of music. Mrs. Green holds an annual recital and enjoys helping her students develope a lifelong joy of music.

 
RON RIECKMANN:

Ron is a retired instrumental music instructor with 39 years of teaching experience in the public school system. He has many years of experience as a private teacher of saxophone, piano and organ. His saxophone students have been members of All-state bands and his piano and saxophone students have consistently received first place ratings at state music contests. He has frequently served as a saxophone clinician and honor band guest conductor. He has played organ, saxophone and piano for church since high school. Ron enjoys teaching students of all ages.

 
DUILIO MORDINI:

Duilio brings over 25 years of teaching experience to the lesson center and holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Drake. Prior to private teaching, Duilio taught General Music Education in the Colfax School District and was also the former owner of DuMor Music Studios in Johnston. He is a member of MTNA, IMTA, Des Moines Teachers Association, National Federation of Music Clubs and past President of the Des Moines Federation Junior Councelors Club. He is currently the Choral Director for St. Malachy's Church in Madrid. Duilio teaches ages 7 to adult, at all skill levels and believes in the power of positive reinforcement techniques.

 
TINA SIEBERNS:

Tina has a Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in voice and piano, as well as a Master of Music with a voice and music history emphasis. Mrs. Sieberns was a teacher in the public schools for 31 years and co-director of the South Side Elementary Orchestra.

 
ZELJKA STIJACIC:

Zeljka has a Bachelor degree in Piano Pedagogy. She received a Master of Music degree from the University Paris 8, Paris, France. Since 1994 Zeljka has been teaching piano at Municipal Music School and within the Artistic Group GAMAS in Paris. Recently she moved to Des Moines.

  
DR. JUDITH SVENGALIS:

Judith holds a BME from Cornell College and MA and Ph.D from the University of Iowa. She served as Music Supervisor for the Des Moines Schools for eleven years. She has taught in the classroom and private piano, has served in state and national music associations, and has lectured in Iowa and nationally.

 
MICHAEL PFAFF:

Mike holds a Master's Degree in Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, and a Bachelor's Degree in Performance and Conducting from the Lawrence Conservatory of Music. He has studied jazz with pianist Danilo Perez, drummer Bob Moses, Jazz theorist and saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi and conductor Bridget - Michael Reischl. Mike was featured at the 2007 Panama International Jazz Festival and recently finished a two month residency in Melbourne, Australia with jazz singer Sophie Brous. Mike won the 2007 Ludwig International Percussive Arts Society International Convention Scholarship Competition and the 2002 Harrison Symposium Wind Ensemble Conducting Competition. Mike currently plays with his band Dirty Little Rabbits. Mike will be teaching piano, percussion, drum set, Afro-Cuban and North Indian drumming and jazz improvisation.
